Forty-eight hours is just enough time to evaluate a sync platform with one real project. Here's how to spend it.
Hour 0-2: Bring a brief
Don't browse blind. Upload your active brief — even a half-written one — and let the catalog rank against it. The weighted score column tells you which tracks are real fits in seconds.
Hour 2-8: Build a shortlist
Save the top 10-15. Don't worry about clearing rights yet; every track on Underscore is 100% artist-owned and direct-licensable. You can close on-platform or take the conversation to email — both work.
Hour 8-48: Message
The fastest way to find out if an artist is a fit is to send them a paragraph: project, timeline, budget range, version needs. Replies usually come within a day. The Reply-To header on Underscore inquiry emails is the artist's address, so once they respond, you're in a regular email thread.
When the trial ends, you'll know within minutes whether the platform fits your workflow. If yes, subscribe — flat monthly, no per-license fees. If no, walk.
