When a supervisor uploads a brief, your tracks get scored against that brief — weighted by fit, not by who paid for placement. The scoring is transparent: you can see exactly why each track was ranked where it was.

Supervisors browse the catalog and message you directly through Underscore. You'll get both an in-app notification and an email — and the email's Reply-To header is set to the supervisor's address, so you can hit Reply in Gmail and the conversation goes straight to them.

No A&R gatekeepers. No middlemen. Just direct artist-to-supervisor contact.

Or search the catalog directly by emotion, genre, BPM, key, primary instrument, mood, theme, or scene fit. Every track has structured sync metadata, so filters actually work.

Do I contact artists directly?

Yes. Click the contact button on any track or artist profile and write the artist a message. They get an in-app notification AND a branded email with your reply-to address — so they can reply in-thread on Underscore OR straight from their Gmail. Whichever they prefer.

What about exclusive deals or negotiation?

All conversations happen between you and the artist. Underscore doesn't take a cut and doesn't insert itself into the negotiation. If you want an exclusive deal, work it out with the artist directly. Underscore doesn't restrict that.

Tracks are ranked by an AI sync-fit score against your brief — never by who paid. The score is based on emotion match, tempo/key match, narrative theme overlap, scene-fit overlap, and lyrical sentiment. The exact weighting is transparent and the same for every supervisor on the platform.

How do I cancel?

Go to your account settings and click Cancel Subscription. You'll keep your current tier until the end of the paid period, then you'll downgrade to free. No questions, no save-attempts, no friction.

If you cancel within 7 days of subscribing and haven't used the platform meaningfully, contact us and we'll refund. After that, we don't pro-rate refunds for mid-month cancellations — the next billing cycle just won't happen.
